Overtime Pay
No overtime is permitted unless approved in advance by the Dean or his designee. Overtime will be paid only to hourly employeesand are considered non-exempt under the United States Department of Labor’s Fair Labor Standard Act, and only when employees have actually worked more that 40 hours within the seven day work week (Saturday through Friday). Holiday time or other paid leave time does not count toward the forty-hour overtime threshold.
Management, administrative, or other salaried employees who are considered to be exempt from the United States Department of Labor’s Fair Standards Act are expected to manage their work hours to complete their duties and meet the needs of W.L. Bonner College. Exempt employees are salaried for all hours and not eligible to receive overtime pay.
